Het hoofdstuk Oncolytica in het Informatorium Medicamentorum (IM) is continu in ontwikkeling. Er komen steeds meer oncolytica beschikbaar, zoals tyrosinekinaseremmers, monoklonale antilichamen en geheel nieuwe geneesmiddelgroepen zoals bispecifieke antilichamen. Ook worden oncolytica steeds vaker als combinatietherapie ingezet in chemokuren, bijvoorbeeld bij niet-kleincellig longcarcinoom.
